I've had strawberry shortcake on my mind and today was the day I made one.
It rained and poured and I happily spent it in the kitchen!
I used this recipe without the cream cheese icing. I used an entire container of Cool Whip instead. I had some icing already made, but I wanted something lighter to top off this summery cake.
I was in NYC last week and I have a few pictures to share. I will try to post them soon.
